Ft. Lauderdale, FL—
As one of the largest employers in the United States, Spherion will look to Lamond to deliver industry-leading programs and highly effective human resources systems to provide outstanding support to its employees and serve as a strategic resource to the company’s business groups in providing leading human resources solutions to clients.
Lamond will focus on organizational and leadership development, as well as strategic human resources initiatives throughout the corporation’s domestic and international operations. His responsibilities will also include: training, performance management, compensation, benefits, labor and employee relations, change management, diversity programs, organizational design and effectiveness, succession planning and executive coaching.
“Richard Lamond is a seasoned human resources executive with strong leadership skills and proven competency in implementing global HR programs,” stated Hallman. “His experience in managing a large and complex organization will be instrumental in advancing the business and cultural transformation currently underway at Spherion to increase predictability, productivity and profitability.”
Prior to joining Spherion, Lamond spent nearly 30 years in a number of increasingly complex roles at Millennium Chemicals Inc., a major international chemical company. He joined the company as a human resource manager in 1973 and most recently served as senior vice president of human resources and administration.

Lamond replaces Wayne D. L’Heureux, past vice president of human resources, who left the Company in 2002 to pursue other opportunities.
A native of Baltimore, Lamond received his bachelor’s degree from Loyola College in Maryland. He holds a J.D. degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law. Lamond and his family will be relocating to South Florida.
