Spherion Signs Multi-Year Outsourcing Agreement to Service New Sprint PCS Customer Solutions Contact Center in Puerto Rico

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., September 26, 2001—Spherion Corporation (NYSE: SFN) today announced that it will expand its business relationship with Sprint PCS to provide customer support as Sprint PCS opens a new Customer Solutions Contact Center in Carolina, Puerto Rico. Sprint PCS is the fastest growing wireless carrier in the . Spherion signed a multi-year outsourcing agreement with Sprint PCS to service the Customer Solutions Contact Center . The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

 

The new center will employ more than 120 customer solutions contact advocates by the end of the year, and will initially serve callers from Puerto Rico . The customer contact center began taking calls earlier this month just before Sprint’s formal launch this week. Sprint PCS advocates will field general questions, manage phone activation, answer usage questions and address billing issues.
