Spherion Joins Segue Software’s eConfidence Alliance Program
Alliance strengthens Spherion’s e-business quality management practice

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. , and LEXINGTON, Mass. , August 24, 2000—Spherion®, formerly Interim Technology, a leading provider of IT business solutions for the new economy, and Segue Software (NASDAQ: SEGU), a leading provider of e-business reliability products, have joined forces in a strategic alliance.

Spherion benefits from the alliance by joining Segue’s eConfidence program. Through the program, Spherion consultants will receive training and certification on Segue’s Silk line of testing, monitoring and metering software designed to help clients address the risks and complications that can affect the performance of an e-business system. By adding this leading web testing tool to its suite of testing, planning and quality assurance offerings, Spherion now has an even more comprehensive package to offer its clients.

Segue’s SilkPerformer and SilkTest, among the leading tools in performance testing and automated regression testing, will now be available as extensions to Spherion’s Software Quality Management (SQM) test automation service offerings, enhancing the solutions to the extensive reach of Spherion’s Global 1000 client base.

Together Spherion and Segue will work to identify and develop new joint service offerings, making joint presentations to clients and engaging in cooperative marketing efforts.

“Through our alliance with Segue, our consultants are receiving training and mentoring on one of the industry’s leading web testing tool suites,” said Stuart Emanuel, president, Spherion’s Technology Business Solutions Group. “We are enthusiastic about being able to offer this expertise and breadth of services to our clients.”

Steve Butler, CEO of Segue Software, said “Spherion has a long history of providing top notch SQM services to clients. The eConfidence Alliance with Spherion enhances our ability to reach Global 1000 clients as we expand our market share. We look forward to the joint possibilities.”
