Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. —March 20, 2002—Spherion Technology, an IT services provider and core business group of Spherion Corporation, today announced the appointment of Patrick Beharelle as vice president of finance, effective immediately. Patrick will report to Wayne Mincey, president of Spherion Technology.

As vice president of finance, Beharelle will act as a key advisor on major strategic and operational issues and manage all financial planning functions for Spherion Technology. He will focus on developing a well-defined corporate financial strategy to create maximum value for business practices, and will work closely with regional managers and branch directors in business-related financial issues and in providing analytical support for special projects.

"We are very happy to have someone with Patrick's extensive business-related financial background on our team," stated Mincey. "He will play a crucial role in helping us attain our financial goals and objectives for 2002 and beyond."

Prior to joining Spherion Technology, Beharelle was president and CFO for CollectionsX, a Web-based marketplace for buyers and sellers of debt portfolios. In this role, he successfully raised $11 million in venture capital, oversaw $3 billion in debt portfolio sales and provided operational and strategic direction for the company. Prior to CollectionsX, Beharelle was a director at USWeb/CKS, where he sold and managed multi-million dollar consulting engagements. He also served as a manager in the Strategic Services Practice at Andersen Consulting, now Accenture. Beharelle received a master's in business administration from the Wharton School .
