Spherion® Technology Executive to Provide Keynote Address at the National Association of Computer Consultants Board Annual Conference

Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. October 21, 2003—Spherion Corporation today announced that Wayne Mincey, president of the Company’s Technology Services Group, will be the keynote speaker at the 16th Annual National Association of Computer Consultants Board (NACCB) Conference on October 23, 2003 in Dallas, TX

 

In his presentation, entitled “Surviving and Thriving in a Rapidly Changing Technology Services Market,” Mincey will address the current state of the technology services market and the structural changes that are shaping the industry. He will also provide guidance on how to develop and implement a successful business strategy as the economy recovers.

 

“Even though there are many signs of a strengthening economy, the technology services industry will continue to face many issues and changes that will shape the future of our business,” Mincey said. “The rules are much different now and businesses must understand the market direction and how offshore talent, vendor consolidations and large enterprise outsourcing will affect their business in order to develop a strategy that positions them for growth.”

 

Mincey is responsible for managing Spherion’s Technology Services division and leveraging its business applications and infrastructure solutions with the Company’s e-recruiting initiatives. Mincey joined Spherion from Ryder Systems, Inc. where he held several senior-level management positions with increasing responsibility, the last being vice president of operations for the TRS business unit.

 

He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Morehead State University in Kentucky and a master’s of business administration from the University of Miami . Mincey also serves on the board of advisors for the Information Management Forum, the board of directors for the IT Services Division of the Information Technology Association of America and the board of directors for Junior Achievement of Georgia.
