LAUDERDALE, Fla., Aug. 8 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Spherion Corporation (NYSE: SFN) today announced its recruitment process outsourcing (RPO) services division has been named to the Baker's Dozen list of top RPO providers published by HRO Today magazine. Spherion achieved the second highest designation in the overall ranking and received top marks from clients for its successful track record with "large, complex" RPO engagements. Additionally, Spherion was a leader among the field in client satisfaction scores, receiving some of the highest accolades for its sourcing approach.

This year's list ranked 13 providers of RPO services, based in the U.S. and internationally, according to service quality, breadth of scope and size of deals. Spherion was ranked as one of the top three providers and recognized for its ability to help clients improve cost and quality of hires, as well as enhancing candidate experience. Clients also commended Spherion's ability to deliver results on "large, complex" deals. These engagements typically involve end-to-end recruitment services during a multi-year period for large numbers of hires or candidates for hard-to-fill positions.

HRO Today surveyed clients of leading RPO providers to determine the top qualities they look for in a provider. This component of the overall ranking was based on a series of questions that examined the performance and relationship between the provider and customer.

The Baker's Dozen recognizes the top 13 providers involved in full-service RPO, including requisition development; sourcing; screening; interview scheduling; management of offer process; on-boarding; reporting and metrics; and workforce planning support.

The list was selected by the staff of HRO Today based on a weighted system that included industry input, information submitted by each provider and buyer survey results. The publication contacted 29 of the largest RPO providers to request information on the number of full-service RPO placements executed in 2006, types of services offered and the largest clients using enterprise-level RPO during 2006.
